Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the Government and the Ministry has fulfilled its obligations and commitments to the Council of representatives and citizens to submit the draft budget to Parliament before the end of 2014.
Zebari said at a press conference held by the Ministry, Monday, that "this budget is a realistic budget and is closest to the financial and economic situation in the country."
The Finance Minister said that the Cabinet ministerial Committee held several amendments to the budget, and called upon "the Parliament committees approve budget law specialist after examination at the beginning of next year, so that the Government and the Ministry control of income and expenditure and to begin to provide revenue for the fiscal deficit and the provision of basic services to citizens."
Finance Minister appealed to "all the ministries and bodies in cooperation with the financial accounting service to cease publication of Exchange by the end of the financial year 31-12-2104, according to the Financial Administration Act and the public debt".
The challenges facing the Iraqi economy in 2014 in a lack of liquidity caused by the terror organization and defence expenditures, daash fronting and lower oil prices in the world market.
