Iran will help Iraq to strengthen his army

Signed by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan, Iraqi and Khalid al-Obeidi, a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation between Iran and Iraq, under which Tehran would help Iraq to strengthen his army.
She said the Iranian Ministry of Defense said in a statement, said that «the various areas of cooperation in the field of defense identified in this note, was agreed to continue cooperation for the establishment of an Iraqi national army to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the Iraqi territories and the security of Iraq».
The statement added that «the two sides also stressed the need for regular consultations to discuss the means of ensuring the security of the region, because terrorism does not affect the security of Iraq alone, but in the security of the whole region».
Dehghan said in comments carried by the agency «Knight» news remarks, said that «Iraq and Syria are on the scene of terrorist acts and of course on Iran and Iraq should strengthen their cooperation in the face of this threat».
Iran has denied consistently be sent troops to Iraq, but admitted sending weapons and military advisers.
