Industry in Iraq on verge of collapse

Several obstacles have led to the degradation of the reality of industry in Iraq even becoming a burden on the country's economy by the industry Minister in his press conference that the State spent on the Ministry until last year some 15,000 billion dinars, without any clear progress, given the rampant corruption and the deteriorating security situation on the other.

Al-Issawi also disclosed that the Ministry's companies of the seventy-one company different jurisdictions cannot provide the salaries of its staff, so that more than 60 of them are lost. .. The Minister urged local investors from the private sector to open their companies in Iraq to develop the industry.
Al-Issawi called "Iraqi investors to acquire or bring agencies or branches of solid and companies specializing in various fields through the Ministry of industry and Ministry of industry companies will make it easier for Iraqis."
After an interview, the Minister did not indicate any optimistic on what his Ministry was allocated in the budget for the year 2000 and 15, since the amount of percent and 10 billion is not enough to create a modern and sophisticated one factory.
