Proposal to postpone the payment of dues to oil companies operating in the southern fields to 2016
BAGHDAD / JD / .. the parliamentary finance committee revealed, for the formation of a government delegation to negotiate with foreign oil companies operating in the southern fields to postpone the payment of financial dues for 2015 to 2016, which is estimated at $ 24 billion to reduce the budget deficit.
A member of the committee MP Haitham al-Jubouri told / BD /: that the budget in 2015 which was the fiscal deficit is estimated at 25 trillion dinars, but after a drop of Iraqi oil prices and access to $ 42 a barrel has become the fiscal deficit up to 50 trillion dinars, adding that the budget developed on the basis of production of 3.3 million barrels per day, but the Iraqi production is still 2.9 million barrels per day, and this is what makes the escalation of the fiscal deficit in the context of low oil prices.
