Iraq, UN discuss developing strategies of combating terrorism

Ambassador Mohammed Ali Hakim, Iraq’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations met Director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), Jean-Paul Laborde.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by AIN cited “Mr. Laborde reviewed his team’s efforts to coordinate and develop strategies of combating terrorism.”
“For his part, Mr. al-Hakim explained Iraq’s needs of the international aids to reduce terrorism and apply UN Security Council resolutions as well as achievements of the government in the fight against terrorism,” the statement concluded. /End/
