Iraq signs MOU with Habitat

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Iraq signing a memorandum of understanding with the Organization of the United Nations Habitat and human settlements-related.
The signing ceremony took place on the memorandum of understanding in Prime Minister's official Office, occurred on the Iraqi side and housing reconstruction Minister Mohammad the Darraji, Executive Director of Habitat to Joan Clos.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Government was determined to provide the necessary funds for building houses in all governorates of Iraq and distribution to poor families and provide all service requirements and health and recreation.
He was Executive Director of Habitat was pleased with this work and sign a memorandum of understanding to support the housing sector in Iraq and the Iraqi projects and capacity-building in this area, and housing for poor families, saying the Organization has the capacity to build towns and renewal of urban planning.
In another window, the delegation met the Prime Minister said Russian electricity company Technoprom, headed by its Director kalanov honor.
During the meeting, said Al-Maliki, the Iraqi Government's desire to develop relations with Russia in all areas, including cooperation in the field of electricity, in particular that Russia has taken positive steps towards Iraq in fuel and electricity.
Maliki called for Technoprom company delegation meetings with officials of the Ministry of electricity to produce understandings and agreements, to accelerate the implementation of the Youssifiyah station.
It also renewed the invitation for Russian companies in Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction process.
Hedayat Director Technoprom, Russian delegation to meet with his Prime Minister, saying the company sought to achieve fruitful results, and stand by Iraq in the reconstruction process, especially if their company is State-owned enterprises, stressing the importance of meeting with officials of the Ministry of electricity and create a climate of cooperation in this area, in addition to the importance of speedy implementation of the Youssifiyah station.
