Housing Announces reduce the salaries of its employees because of austerity

The Ministry of Construction and Housing on Monday announced a reduction in the salaries of employees (wage or contract) as a measure of my time because of the financial crisis. According to a statement of the ministry, said that "the ministry follow the Government's approach on the policy of austerity by reducing unnecessary expenditures; fill the shortfall in the state budget and that the ministry has taken several measures, including the salaries of employees reduction in the daily wage and contract employees of the ministry and formations as a landing to avoid termination of their services ". He explained that "it was the allocation of 400 trillion dinars to the current year budget in 2015 after it had been in past years, up to 1,700 trillion dinars, has also been allocated to the Ministry of reducing operating expenses in half." The statement added that "the current situation through which the country and to preserve the workers in the formations of the ministry considered the ministry to follow this temporary measure; to avoid dispensing services to a large number of workers in a daily wage and contract in the ministry and formations." Iraq has been undergoing an economic crisis caused by the decline in the world price of oil, which led to a high proportion of the budget deficit, as well as take austerity measures in the joints of the state and the abolition of luxury and non-essential expenses.
