1.3 bln dinars contract signed up to build Diwaniyah Airport
On Wednesday, the governor of al-Diwaniyah province announced, that a contract with a Kuwaiti company was signed up to build the airport of Diwaniyah and other commercial projects at a cost of 1.3 billion dinars.
Governor of Diwaniyah Ammar al-Madani said, “On Wednesday, the provincial council has signed up a contract with a Kuwaiti company to build several commercial projects including Diwaniyah Airport,” noting that, “The total cost will be 1.3 billion dinars including 430 million dinars for the construction of the airport.”
“The airport will be constructed on an actual area of 7 acres in addition to 7 other acres to contain any expansion project in the future, and the project will be under management of the Kuwaiti company for the next 45 years,” al-Madani added.
