The parliamentary energy Unveils Bill to substitute the former oil and gas Act

Oil and Energy Committee, unveiled legislative, Monday, the Council of Ministers of the draft Bill include the recent oil agreement between the Governments of the region and instead a draft oil and gas law precedent.
The Committee Member said Tariq Rashid's/information/the "oil and gas law was controversial among the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, has born great conflicts and disagreements between the two Governments, as well as disputes between Baghdad and the provinces."
"The Council of Ministers sent the draft oil and gas law in 2007 to Parliament to read and vote but Parliament made remarks at the time and decided to rebuild the project to the Government since then and until today did the Government consider and include reviews of Deputies within the law and send it back."
Rashid stressed that "the Council of Ministers and with the assistance of experts of oil on the new draft law legislation as the oil agreement between the Governments of the Centre and the territory rather than the previous oil and gas law", adding "view that draft to the Council of representatives at its next to read and vote on them."
