Provide the region with 20 hours of electricity per day during the month of June
Mr Yassin Sheikh Abu Bakr Maoti electricity minister in the Kurdistan Regional Government in a press conference held on the evening of Monday, at the Ministry, a program to provide electricity for the month of June and the budget of the Ministry of Electricity in it. During the conference which was attended by a number of consultants and general managers, reviewed and Minister of Electricity terms the level of production of electric power in the Kurdistan Region and the Ministry's efforts in improving this area. The minister pointed out that the rate of production of electric power in the region is on the rise, and reached for the month 5 of the year 2008 to 100 MW only through gas station Arbil, while up production of electric power now to 1350 MW through gas stations, indicating that in the ministry's plan the distribution of 1490 MW in June of 2011, and this will provide the citizens of the Kurdistan Region with 20 hours of electricity per day in month 6. On the other hand explained that the ministry could, through a scientific program to maintain the Dokan and Darbandikhan and rely on them more, and that through the activation of local production of plants species, saying: With this we can ensure self-sufficiency for the region in the provision of electric power. He noted that the employment opportunities provided by the Ministry of Electricity, which called the Council of Ministers the appointment of 4145 people, according to a new system and competition between the applicants for appointment.
