Second gas pipeline project connecting Iraq and Iran has started

According to the reports, Iran has started construction of a second gas pipeline in neighboring Iraq to the southern city of Basra.
The report further added that after completion of the construction of the pipeline, gas exports to Iraq will be increased in two years. Its capacity according to the project is 35 million cubic meters of gas per day.
In the construction of the first gas pipeline, which stretches as far as Baghdad, about 7 km of pipeline remains to be laid on the territory of Iraq. According to the National Iranian Gas Company, at first 4 million cubic meters of fuel will be running through it daily, then the volume will be increased to 25 million.
In total, both pipelines will be able to provide gas exports to Iraq amounting to 70 million cubic meters per day.
