Parliament of Kurdistan will hold an extraordinary session in Halabja to approve the Board of maintaining law

Parliament held region of Kurdistan , on Thursday, an extraordinary session in the city of Halabja to read the draft Council of Halabja province Management Act.
The reporter said "Alsumaria News", the Parliament of Kurdistan Region held on Thursday, an extraordinary session to read and discuss the board of Halabja province of law, noting that the law will determine the administrative mechanisms of the Council of the province of Halabja.
The reporter said that the special session of parliament held in the city of Halabja, came to the importance of this city, which has seen genocide with chemical weapons in 1988 by the former regime, pointing out that a number of ministers and members of parliament in Halabja who attended the session.

The reporter added that the city of Halabja experiencing a festive atmosphere on the occasion of the region's parliament session to approve the law.
Last year, the Kurdistan Regional Government and decided to convert Halabja to the province because of the region suffered from the devastation, and the Kurdistan region consists of three governorates of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk, where the province of Halabja will be the fourth in the region.
It is noteworthy that the city of Halabja, (83 km southeast of the province of Sulaymaniyah 0.364 km northeast of Baghdad), came under aerial bombardment and artillery bombs chemical on 16 March 1988 by the former regime during the Iran-Iraq war killed nearly five thousand people dead and more than ten thousand infected civilians.
