Dozens of workers in those companies and different provinces have gone out on demonstrations over the past few days to pay their monthly salaries that rely on self-financing. Some of those companies complain that the government ministries and institutions don’t buy their products and prefer foreign products, attributed the reason to the existence of financial corruption and officials get a financial benefit to contract with foreign companies. It is worth mentioning that observers contend the decline of industry sector in Iraq since 2003, due to a glut of cheap price products and lack of quality control in this area.
