Barzani calls for oil and gas committee to monitor the parliamentary Baghdad and Erbil agreement

Twilight News / called on the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani, Sunday, for the oil and gas committee in the Iraqi parliament to control the oil agreement between Baghdad and Erbil as a "third party", reiterating that the region is dealing with the oil file under the installed rights to him in the Iraqi constitution.

A statement of the Government of the Territory reported for "Twilight News" that the meeting discussed the recent agreement reached by the government of Kurdistan and the Federal Government of Iraq on oil exports.
The meeting also discussed the issues of oil and gas law, and the role of the Commission on oil and gas in the follow-up and monitoring of the Convention, and the cooperation and coordination between the two sides, in addition to the outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad problems, and efforts to address them.
Barzani said during the meeting that "the region is dealing with oil in the context of the installed file his rights in Iraq, the Federal Constitution."
He said the "Kurdistan yet at the stage of research and oil exploration and extraction, and very accessible to the export of oil did not accept any action is unconstitutional for the export of oil or oil policy for the entire region on the basis of his constitutional rights."
"The government of Kurdistan is committed to the Convention with the Federal Government of Iraq," and expressed hope that the "reached with the Government of Haider al-Abadi to address all outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil problems."
He called on the Government of the Territory of the oil and gas committee in Parliament to "deal with the two governments as a third party, and monitoring of the Convention and the process of addressing the problems," expressing his "government of Kurdistan is ready for any form of cooperation and coordination."
