Reese added that "since the Iraqi forces have the support of Shiite militias backed by Iran and aircraft of the International Alliance of its way toward the north on the line of the Tigris River Valley and took control of some near Baghdad cities, while the peshmerga forces isolating Mosul and cut the supply of fighters and ammunition by the lines ".
He warned the American officer retired from the harsh battle awaits Mosul, saying that "the city under siege now and for the Iraqis to prepare for war in the streets of a city of several million people, which would be very complicated."
