Gold continued its gains for a third session on Monday, supported by safe-haven demand amid the dollar's decline and concerns such as the future of Greece's negotiations in the euro zone.
Spot price of gold rose 0.5% to $ 1235.50 an ounce (an ounce) after that rose 0.6% in the previous session.
And watching the dealers meeting and euro zone finance ministers to be held in Brussels on Monday to reach a common position with the new government in Greece, which won elections after austerity pledges to abolish restrictions on Athens in the framework of the international rescue programs.
There are concerns if the meeting did not produce results that Greece is going to be a credit crunch may force them to get out of the single currency area.
Said Victor Thianberrya analyst at ANZ "concerns about Greece's negotiations with its lenders will continue to support demand for gold as a safe haven."
Silver rose 0.5% to $ 17.37 an ounce.
And platinum rose one percent to $ 1215.75 and palladium rose 0.5% to hit US $ 792 per ounce.
