Iranian First Vice President Arrives In Baghdad

BAGHDAD / NINA /First vice president of Iran, Isaac Jahangeri arrived to Baghdad at the invitation of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
Informed media sources reported that the Jahangeri heads a high-level political and economic delegation includes a number of ministers and advisers.
A statement of the Iranian presidency said that Jahangeri will meet President Fuad Masum, and will hold talks with Prime Ministers Haider Abadi and the House of Representatives Salem al-Jubouri as well as Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and a number of political leaders to discuss the relations between the two countries and means to expand cooperation in various fields and developments in the security situation in the region and efforts to combat terrorism.
Jahangeri heads his country’s side in the joint Iraqi-Iranian Supreme Committee meetings and will attend the signing ceremony of several agreements and memoranda of understanding for bilateral cooperation in various fields and will attend a meeting between Iranians and Iraqis businessmen.
