Slovakian Jan Kubis new United Nations envoy in Iraq

Slovakian Jan Kubis
Appointed by the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, Slovak diplomat Jan Kubis new envoy to the United Nations and Chief of Mission of the International Organization in Iraq.
A spokesman for Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday, said Kubis replaces Bulgarian Nikolay Mladenov, who was appointed a United Nations envoy in the Middle East earlier this month.
He took Slovak diplomat several high-level positions in the country and in international organizations, including the position of the Slovak Foreign Minister and head of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan.
Stephane Dujarric said a spokesman for Ban Ki-moon, "Kubis has years of experience in diplomacy and politics field Foreign security and international economic relations at the international level and in the interior of his country. "
