Announced the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, on Monday, around the vote on the draft collection and oil and gas imports Fund Act to the next session, and among the determining authority supervising the fund was one of the most controversial items in the law, said that the Fund project that has nothing to do with the Convention on the oil between Arbil and Baghdad .
A member of the Finance Committee in the Parliament, Soran Omar, in an interview with the (long-Presse), "The discussion of the draft collection and imports of oil and gas fund law provisions prevented a vote on the project in the parliament session, which was held today," he said, adding that "the law includes 16 items , has been discussed two items from him during today's session, was postponed voting on the bill to the next session. "
He said Omar, said that "the main points that have been discussed this today is to determine who is overseeing the fund," noting that "some parliamentarians demanded that the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan region is the supervisor of the fund, while others demanded that the supervision by the oil and gas Council in the provincial government. "
On the other hand, said a member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Farhan essence, in an interview with the (long-Presse), "The collection and imports of oil and gas fund has no relationship to the Convention on the oil between Arbil and Baghdad," he said, adding that "the Ministry of Finance will be funded from this fund."
The Kurdish Parliament has completed the initial reading of the project during one of its meetings in June last year.
It is said that the oil and gas resources Fund Act, includes a deposit of part of the oil revenues in the region's budget and the allocation of the other part to be distributed among the citizens, which aims to improve the conditions of citizens and safeguarding the rights of future generations of natural resources.
