Mohammed calls for considering former regime’s crimes as genocide

The second Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Aram Sheikh Mohammed, called for considering the former regime’s crimes as a genocide.
A statement by the Office of the Deputy Speaker, received by AIN, cited “Mohammed delivered a speech in the party held in Kurdistan region in an occasion of 27th of striking the Kurds by chemical weapons in Al-Syusinan sub-district in Al-Sulaymaniyah province.”
The statement qouted Mohammed, as saying “We will work on considering the former government crimes of killing people, mass graves, destruction, forcible exile in addition to the chemical attacks on the Kurdistan towns and villages as a genocide.”
“It is necessary to achieve this in order to compensate the victims and the injuries and we are all wishful to consider them as genocide against all Iraqis,” he concluded. /End/
