The Information Office of the President of the House of Representatives denied what was attributed to Saleem al-Jubouri's remarks on the possibility of calling the Vice President Nuri al-Maliki to trial.
The office said in a press statement that it "denies the proportions of the statements by the President and on the possibility of calling the Vice President Nuri al-Maliki, and reported by many agencies and local media."
The statement attributed to Saleem al-Jubouri has raised the ire of a coalition of state law.
He is close to Vice President Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, head of the previous government, that "the statements made by House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, which stipulates the existence of the trial of former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in the future baseless."
