Arab League: Syria's seat will remain vacant during the Arab Summit

Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League, that the Arab summit events will start (today) Wednesday at the level of economic ministers, to discuss the economic profile of the summit, while starts on Thursday, the foreign ministers meeting to discuss the political files.
Ben Helli said, the German news agency, as he left Cairo on his way to Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in the activities of the summit, said that Egypt made a great effort to prepare for the Arab summit amid the spirit of the success achieved in Sharm el-Sheikh Economic Conference recently. He stressed that Egypt had invited all Arab countries, including Qatar, and is expected to be the largest number of Arab leaders to attend the summit despite the conditions faced by some Arab countries, which may prevent the participation of leaders, but is expected to be a great representation.
He noted Ben Helli to that seat Syria will remain vacant during the summit after freezing its participation in the activities of the university, while the chancellor's wife Saleh, Chairman of the Libyan Parliament, at the summit, and President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of Yemen participate, if you do not find the developments prevented his participation.
He stressed that although the summit Sharm el-Sheikh routine patrol summit, they will because of the circumstances surrounding Arab countries currently considered an extraordinary summit of the seriousness of the files before it, where they will be issuing the Sharm el-Sheikh declaration at its conclusion, and includes guidance on the issues raised it to work out under the presidency of Egypt over the next year.
He stressed that the economic issues presented during the summit is as important as the political files, which will discuss the summit for linking the electric in the Arab world, especially large-scale project which connects all the Arab states, and other economic issues of major projects.
He said Ben Helli that the next few hours will witness an important meeting on the level of permanent representatives of the university to discuss before the summit, political issues, through research issues on the agenda, both in regard to the Arab national security and the fight against terrorism or discuss all the hot files taking place, especially in Libya, Syria and Yemen, the region, and all issues will be on the level of senior officials, and will raise all these files to the Council of Foreign Ministers, which begins Thursday
