Parliamentary Integrity: Defence refused to give priorities for armament contracts that the suspicions of corruption

Announced the Parliamentary Integrity Commission, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Defence refused to give priorities for armament contracts by suspicions of corruption, without the approval of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. A member of the committee MP Hashem al-Moussawi told the "Khandan" "The Integrity Commission has asked the Ministry of Defense, giving priorities for armament contracts concluded by the ministry and related activities, including aircraft and weapons," he said, adding that "these contracts by suspicions of corruption. He said the "the inspector general at the ministry refused to give priorities, including the amounts disbursed to the arming of numbers," noting that "the reason for the rejection is that the access to these priorities need formal approval from the Federal Prime Minister. Al-Moussawi noted that "the parliamentary integrity, asked all inspectors Alamomcin Iraqi ministries, sending 10 by suspicions of corruption files to scrutiny," explaining that "the Inspector and the Federal Ministry of Defense, sent 10 titles files did not send their content or details."
