Transport Minister Abbas Akhunda arrived Monday in the province of Basra to activate the memorandum of raising sunken ships from the Shatt al-Arab.
Correspondent agency all of Iraq [where] that "the governor of Basra Majed Nasraoui received the Minister of Transport in Shalamcheh border port."
"The visit of the Iranian Minister of Transport to discuss the province include the establishment of a railway link between Iraq and Iran, as well as the activation of an earlier memorandum between the two countries on the lifting of the Marine Aguarq of the Shatt al-Arab."
He pointed out that "the Minister of Transport conducted a field tour in Basra for the project," noting that "the local government is trying to take advantage of the maritime border crossings" .anthy 90
