Ministerial Crisis Unit Meets

Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the ministerial crisis unit on Sunday, attended by the ministers of Oil, Finance, and Planning, and by the governor of the Central Bank and a number of advisors and specialists.
Abadi emphasised the importance of stimulating economic growth to compensate for the drop in oil revenues, and the need to increase oil production.
The meeting also discussed the salaries of public sector employees in the provinces of Anbar, Salah Al-Deen, and Nineveh with emphasis on paying the salaries in the light of the auditing procedures adopted by the ministry of Finance.
