Duhok: Citizens complain about high prices of goods

Financial markets in Iraq and the Kurdistan region during the past days, a remarkable rise in the US dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar, after jumping from 1200 dinars to 1330 dinars, which impact on the prices of goods in Kurdistan markets.

In addition, citizens of the rising prices of goods complained because of the high dollar, said Abu Hendren "We in the region are suffering a lot of financial problems, on the one hand we have not received our salaries for three months, and the rise of the dollar has increased the suffering because prices rose in all areas."
For his part, remains exclusively Consumer Protection Association in Dohuk Kaveh Aziz stressed the concerned authorities on the need to find a solution to this problem, and called for the federal government to work hard to delete Article 50 of the Iraqi budget, which restricts the central government to sell the dollar at auction today's law, as well as pumping larger quantities from the dollar to the Iraqi market for ways projects or advances, and demanded businessmen and traders and owners of laboratories to provide job opportunities for citizens in order to activate the economic cycle in the market so as not to have a great impact on segments of society.
It should be noted that the dollar prices have stabilized in recent years, which contributed to the revitalization of urban commercial traffic in the cities of the Kurdistan region.
