Zebari and the World Bank
Held Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari, and with the participation of Governor of the Iraqi Central Bank and the delegation of the Ministry of Finance technical talks with the Executive Director of the Iraq Programme at the World Bank Mirza Hassan and members of the Iraq team in the bank.
A statement by the Ministry of Finance that "the two sides discussed during the meeting of development programs implemented by the Bank in Iraq, the Iraqi side has confirmed the need for Iraq to targeted programs in vital sectors such as energy, electricity and the need to set priorities."
Zebari called "drawers World Bank projects within the investment budget plan in the country."
At the last meeting at the World Bank, the bank introduced a range of experts in the fields of economics and public finance policies and the implementation of the budget overview of the state of the Iraqi economy and the financial liquidity pressures on the budget, financial and administrative reforms required.
A team of experts study compared with suffocating financial crises suffered by Argentina, Turkey previously.
Iraq is scheduled to visit soon a high-level delegation and the direction of the President of the World Bank Group to look closely at the emergency needs of the displaced and assess the bank's contribution to the reconstruction of the liberated areas of terrorism and propose Daash allocation immediate financial assistance fund
