Adel Abdul-Mahdi warns of deteriorating economic situation in the country

Tomorrow Press / Baghdad warned Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, Monday declined because of the economic reality preoccupation of some politicians in the narrow partisan interests, noting that our need for motivation and incentives to jump-start progress.
Abdul-Mahdi said in a press statement received by "tomorrow Press", that "We warn of the economic reality of the decline on the policy because of the expense of some preoccupation of politicians in the narrow partisan interests caused the socio-economic, political and security problems."
He added that "Iraq had reached its oil production in the seventies to nearly three million barrels per day, while the decline today for less than this figure," noting that "our need for motivation and incentives to jump-start progress has ended fear, repression and terror that was before the 2003 time."
He explained that "we learn the lesson does not offer the factors that destroyed the renaissance and progress."
The Iraqi oil sector has seen in the past a great development after licensing rounds concluded by the previous government and led to an increase in oil production to more than two and a half million barrels per day.
