Kirkuk threatens to stop oil exports

The federal government did not send 6 months ago, earmarked for projects fiscal budget in the province of Kirkuk, while threatened Vice President of the Provincial Council, to stop the export of oil from Kirkuk.
The deputy head of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Rebwar Talabani, in a statement to the network Roudao media: "Baghdad has not sent six months ago, to maintain employees' salaries and the project budget, which greatly affected the delivery of services in the province," he said, adding: "The federal government invoked the financial crisis in Iraq ".
He Rebwar Talabani, "We have to wait until the financial crisis is over, but if we made sure that the very political Baghdad of not sending the financial dues of the province, will stop the export of oil from Kirkuk, one of the options before us."
The Deputy Chairman of the Council of the province of Kirkuk, that "Article 111 of the Iraqi Constitution, requires that the oil belongs to all Iraqis, in addition to referring to the need to protect the rights of its oil from Kirkuk."
The federal and provincial government has reached an agreement to resolve the dispute over oil exports and budget allocations end of last year, where the text of the agreement on the export of 550 thousand barrels of oil fields in the region and Kirkuk in favor of the federal government, in return for the recent commitment by sending the region's share of the financial budget, estimated by 17%.
