Financial representative: tariff law will apply in all of North and South ports

Baghdad-Iraq press – 24 April: parliamentary Finance Committee announced that the tariff Act will apply to all ports in North and South Iraq, noting that "the new tariff act to benefit the northern ports for that territory law applies its own tariff imposes less of the new law and the Kurds choose between the laws as required by the interests of the territory."
Committee member, said Abdul Qader Mohammed, "the local Government of Basra are obliged to apply in case the objection or to certain paragraphs, it should appeal to the Federal Court order pending the resolution of local Government will be obliged to apply it", adding that "Basra Council had rejected the application, the Ministry of Finance's decision to increase tariffs on goods coming across the border in Basra.
