Planning: Thousands of investment projects is Closed

BAGHDAD
revealed the Ministry of Planning for not completing the ministries and government departments 6829 investment projects over the past years, saying that this year has seen the development of new projects.
Ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement »Sabah» : The «number of projects is completed at the present time was (6829) project after it was numbered (9027) project», noting that this «decline in the number came as a result of the completion of each other over the past year suspended projects that are located in unstable regions» .
He added that «these projects back to years past, as it is not the development of new projects during the current year budget», adding that «it was limited to the completion of projects that have reached an advanced completion rates, while postponed projects that do not have a priority at the present time in light of the financial crisis experienced by the country ».
He added that «the buildings and the services sector took first place in the number of these projects, as it was (in 1273), a project focused mostly on buildings headquarters of ministries, departments and health projects as well as projects and sewer projects and housing and other drinking water projects, followed by sector Education b (442) projects, mostly in the rehabilitation and establishment of schools and educational and university buildings in the provinces, and the industrial sector, as the number of projects is completed (384) projects related to oil and gas projects and oil filter extraction, in addition to electrical power generation projects ».
Hindawi said that «the transport and communications sector projects amounted to 327 projects, in addition to the communications and media projects, followed by the agricultural sector, which reached the number of projects (204 projects).»
