Parliamentary Finance: studying the long-term strategy to combat money laundering

Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed it was considering a long-term strategy to combat money laundering in cooperation with governmental and parliamentary committees.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee Ahmed electrodes for "Qurtas News", "operations carried out by government agencies in order to reduce the phenomenon of money laundering is still below the level of ambition, which impacted negatively on the economy and put Iraq".
Electrodes and added that "the Commission through specialists and consultants is considering today a long-term strategy to combat money laundering," noting that "the Commission is cooperating today for the success of this strategy with the committees of integrity, economy and investment Alniabaten, as well as the Ministry of Finance and the Office of Financial Supervision and economic security and the Central Bank of Iraq." .
He warned electrodes of "the consequences of the spread of this phenomenon because it would cause harassment to Iraq in investment operations because most international companies do not accept their countries to enter other countries to work in investment projects, and the money laundering operations and clear, big and this depends on the reports of launches and evaluated by international organizations concerned with transparency" .
