"
He said al-Saadi said "the provincial council fears of heightened public criticism of the decisions of the federal government for imposing more taxes," pointing out that "the position of the provincial council fixed and will not that change any additional tax will not apply in Basra, unless the application in the Kurdistan region and Anbar."
Basra province has seen over the past few days out of popular demonstrations in several areas of refusing to impose new taxes for electricity and other ports.
The Council of Ministers decided to cancel the new rates for electric energy law after heightened public criticism in the majority of provinces reject the application of the law.
