Foreign Ministry, UNAMI Discuss The Activities Of The Mission

Ambassador Walid Hamid, head of the affairs of neighboring countries, acting head of legal department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed with Georgi Posten assistant head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq / UNAMI / and Rene Cuarón, Director of UNAMI office in Tehran, the mission’s activities in Iraq.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement “The two sides also discussed the importance of the strategic relationship with Kuwait and Iraqi missing persons file, in addition to the Iraqi government’s commitment to implementing international resolutions in this regard, which requires international support to resolve the outstanding problems between the two parties.”
The statement added: “The two sides discussed as well as the Iraqi-Iranian relations and the positive developments in the files of water, borders and the fight against desertification and dust.” ./ End
