* America acknowledges that the Iraq front line in the war against daash
Us Deputy Secretary of State Anthony blinken's continuing strong support for Iraq.
He praised Lincoln during his meeting with the President of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani to discuss yesterday praised the close cooperation between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Government of Al-Abadi.
According a statement issued by the us state after the meeting that the parties discussed a range of issues, including the important role of Kurdish Peshmerga, the Kurdish people in fighting against daash.
Blinken said the joint operations centres in Baghdad and Erbil where operational coordination and information-sharing; and four training sites to build the capacity of partner in Iraq, including a site near Erbil, to advise and train Iraqi security forces. Rep. blinken stressed our commitment to work with the coalition forces and the Iraqi Government to strengthen these programs and provide the Iraqi security forces and Kurdish Peshmerga military assistance needed to defeat daash.
Blinken, also discussed President Barzani worsening humanitarian crisis in Iraq, which displaced 2.7 million people since January, 2014. The two sides pointed to the urgent need for additional support from the international community to meet the humanitarian needs. The Deputy Minister thanked blinken Kurdistan Regional Government for hosting hundreds of thousands of Iraqis displaced men, women and children, in addition to the approximately 250,000 Syrian refugees. The Deputy Minister stressed us support for displaced Iraqis over the past 10 years, noting the recent contribution of $ 200 million to support humanitarian needs faced by the Government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The Deputy said the gravest challenge the historical relationship with the Kurdistan Regional Government and its people, and our full commitment to that relationship.
The two Presidents agreed that Iraq was a front line in the war against daash, and Iraq and the United States, the region and the international community stand together to face this threat.
