BAGHDAD / Obelisk: threatened the Energy Committee in the Kurdistan region's parliament on Sunday, the region's resort to the sale of oil to foreign companies in the absence of Baghdad's obligation to pay his dues, arguing that it is difficult to continue the oil agreement signed if Baghdad insisted on its position.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee Dilshad Shaaban said in a statement, that "if Baghdad did not comply with the Convention concluded to pay dues full region will be selling oil to foreign companies one of the options available to the Kurdistan region," explaining that "several foreign companies offered the Government of the Territory to enter into contracts to buy oil." .
He added that "the territory of oil is currently exported via SOMO according to the agreement concluded between the two sides," pointing out that "the remaining quantities produced are sold to pay off the debts of the oil companies of the region during 2014".
