BAGHDAD / Obelisk: There has been little changed on contracts crude oil futures prices, Monday, after the failed China moves to boost its economy lax to instill confidence in the demand for oil in the largest energy consumer in the world will improve quickly and raise prices.
The price of Brent crude for June delivery two years, to $ 65.41 a barrel, by at 02:28 GMT, after falling 1.6 percent last week.
The price fell WTI June delivery, five cents to $ 59.34 a barrel, after rising eight consecutive weeks, the longest period of increase since late 2012 to early 2013.
China cut interest rates for the third time in six months, Sunday, to stimulate its economy, which is heading towards its worst year in 25 years.
Said Rick Spooner, senior analyst at CMC Markets Foundation, in Sydney, "There was a limited response in oil markets, Monday, and perhaps that explains the motivation to help to ease the landing instead of changing things already."
The data showed, last Friday, said that China's imports standard, of crude oil in April, did not support oil prices.
