Russia and Iraq continue dialogue on military cooperation at the expert level

Twilight News / Kremlin announced that military-technical cooperation was at the center of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday.
Dmitri Peskov, said a spokesman for the press on behalf of the Russian President told reporters Friday that the dialogue on bilateral cooperation in this area will continue on a regular basis at the expert level.

Centre did not rule out that Russia is ready to send available at the Russian armed forces into Iraq weapons inventory, to meet part of the needs of Baghdad with the utmost speed, will be in conjunction with the implementation of the military contracts with long-term agreements signed between the two countries.
The spokesman added that Moscow also will pay for the initial implementation of Syria and Egypt, relating to orders and deliveries of weapons and combat vehicles.
According to the data center, Russia and Iraq have signed initialed on arms contracts package worth $ 4.2 billion during the previous Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's visit to Moscow in October / October 2012.
These contracts entered into force in May / May in the year 2013, and since then, Russia has supplied "Pantsir-S systems -1" anti atmosphere to Iraq, as well as "Igla" systems, portable anti-aircraft and platforms "Jigit" rocket, and 15 launcher model "Su -25", and 12 helicopter "Mi -35 M", and 3 helicopters strike model "Mi -28".
