The spokesman stressed that the Iraqi forces fear was not misplaced because “the weather has not had any impact on our ability to launch air raids (..), but we found that the field commander was believed the opposite.”
He added that the withdrawal of troops from Ramadi was the result of “a unilateral decision” taken by the official building on the wrong analysis.
He pointed Colonel Warren that the situation of communications that existed in that moment between the coalition and the Iraqi leader was “not clear” so far.
According to the Pentagon, the international coalition launched seven raids in the gray area on Saturday and Sunday.
A spokesman for the US military command in the Middle East, Colonel Patrick Ryder announced last Wednesday that the sand storm in Ramadi were not only “some fog and dust” and that “the impact was non-existent” on the ability of coalition aircraft to launch raids against al “Daash” terrorist.
