Kuwait opens consulate in the Kurdistan region

Kuwait opened a consulate in Kurdistan region to take advantage of the Kurdistan Region’s economic boom.
The diplomat Dr. Omar Ahmad Al- Kandari Kuwait ambassador met Falah Mustafa official of international communication of KRG government.
Dr. Omar Ahmad Al- Kandari said his country wanted to boost economic and cultural ties with Kurdistan.
Mustafa in his name and behalf of Kurdistan regional government congratulated Dr. Omar Ahmad Al- Kandari in the occasion of his election as Kuwait ambassador in Iraq, He added that Kurdistan values its relations with Kuwait and its position in the world, and is therefore keen to boost relations.
Mustafa also praised the role of Kuwait for its support for Syria and Iraq in its fighting against the so called the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
Kurdistan, which remains the only prosperous and stable portion of war-torn Iraq, has attracted many multinational corporations that have invested in the energy, construction and tourism sectors.
