{Najaf: Euphrates News} The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubis said the UN is seeking in earnest to increase aid to Iraq.
He said Kubis told a news conference with the cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in Najaf and attended by the correspondent agency {Euphrates News} that "I am happy with the first the meeting with Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr and that part of our visit is to take advantage of views between us and discuss the status of Iraq's current". " He explained that "The meeting focused on the role of the United Nations in Iraq and the current situation faced by the country, and concerns that surround the sons of the Iraqi people and their needs for development and delivery of basic services."
He noted that "conveyed to Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr that the United Nations will seek in earnest to increase aid for Iraq." .anthy
