Shafaq News / The Leader of the Sadrist Movement , Moqtada al-Sadr said that the situation in Iraq "is not in its worst cases , what is coming is tougher and darker," as the previous government led by Nuri al-Maliki is responsible for most of the problems that arise in the country.
Sadr considered in an interview with Al-Bawabah Egyptian newspaper, seen by Shafaq News, that ISIS terrorist organization is "an American phenomenon with clear Israeli fingerprints."
About his assessment to the situation in Iraq, he believed that it was not at its worst "the coming will be darker."
Sadr talked about the Government of Haider al-Abadi and said it was "satisfactory, but the problem is that they inherited the previous mistakes that brought Iraq to what it is now," in reference to the government of Nuri al-Maliki.
About the spread of ISIS terrorists in Iraq, al-Sadr said that "terrorism is a clear American- Israeli phenomenon, especially with what we hear from support of the international coalition aircrafts to ISIS, ISIS is not a new phenomenon but is the result of many years of sectarian exacerbations, it is an organization active in places where there is lots of Shiites, making Shiites as its first and last enemy, leaving the Jewish occupier in Jerusalemand the American occupier in a Muslim country to become America safer. "
About expecting the continuation of such phenomenon in Iraq, he believed that "it is difficult to eradicate it, especially as it has become intellectually rooted, in the Sunnis of Iraq who have fallen between the anvil of the previous government and the hammer of violence, the eradication of terrorism is not by war only, but by education, politics and wisdom , and this is missing now. "
Sadr was asked about the status of Kurdistan Region "and the expansion of its areas of influence after addressing ISIS," he said. "It's a temporary issue, In God willing."
On the Baath Party presence in Iraq he said, "It is here due to the actions of the previous government and the increasing influence of ISIS".
When Sadr was asked about his opinion in the Iranian role in Iraq, especially in light of "charge on their part to you for not consulting them in the issues of Iraq," he said "I try in all my relationships to keep my independence that I consider as cant be changed, so I had moved away from some of their consultations.
About the role of Qods Force commander , Qassem Soleimani in Iraq, "although he did not showed me his role in Iraq, but I find that he is now trying to help the Iraqis in their plight."
Asked about Iraq's relationship with Turkey, al-Sadr said he think that there can be some improved relations with the new government, "but I ask Turkey to make the radical factions enemy as its enemy as the case with us."
About the accusations to the Sadrist movement of sending fighters to Syria, al-Sadr said, "I did not send anyone
