Change In Political System Linked to Constitutional Amendments

The House Speaker, Salem al-Jubouri said changing the political system from parliamentary form to a presidential is linked to amendments to the constitution.
Al-Jubouri, in a news conference in the House of Representatives building today, called those who want to change the political system to a presidential system to follow constitutional frameworks to make amendments to the Constitution to ensure that, stressing that this issue is unconstitutional.
It is mentioned that some MPs demanded to change the political system in the country from parliamentary form to a presidential because of the government is not able to get Iraq out of the problems that plague it.
On the amnesty law, al-Jubouri said there is no intention for the House of Representatives to prejudice the article associated with the release of criminals who have been sentenced, but the problem is the detainees who spent long ago and their cases have not been resolved yet.”
The House Speaker, in response to a question on WikiLeaks Documents, explained that: “ensure credibility of WikiLeaks documents needs to be prudent and careful, adding that part of our mission is audit the information, and what is raised through media should to be verified before accusing anyone directly”./ End
