Parliamentary Regions: the government is required to abide by the ceiling timetable for the transfer of powers

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Committee of the Regions and the provinces said that parliamentary federal government is required to abide by the time the ceiling determined in accordance with the law for the transfer of powers from ministries to local governments, which ends early next August.
The committee member said Salim Saleh's (IMN) that "the Commission set up by the Council of Ministers to connect with the local governments in the transfer of powers does not pan out to reach an agreement with those governments."
Saleh added that "the parliamentary committee regions longer the delay in the transfer of powers in violation of the law, as well as the impact on the interests and benefits of the provinces," noting that "the Committee of the Regions will have a position of delaying the transfer of powers after the resumption of hearings."
President of the Republic promised for Provincial Affairs Torhan adviser Mufti last Wednesday to stop the transfer of powers to the provinces in accordance with the Act 21 of 2008 amended an error of law, noting that the decision of 62 approved by the Council of Ministers can not legally stop the application of applicable law.
