President of Kurdistan receives a joint delegation from the US House of Representatives and the Senate

Khandan - met with the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, a delegation participants from the House of Representatives and the US Senate and a number of staff and advisers of US Embassy in Iraq. The presidency of the Kurdistan region said in a statement, said the visiting delegation praised in the meeting, peaceful coexistence and development experienced by the region residents aloft the role of Chairman region in the leadership of the political process and the war waged by the region against terrorists "Daash" They also thanked the Peshmerga forces for their courage and heroism in standing against the terrorists and the protection of citizens of different ethnic and religious components and sacrifice their lives for them. They also thanked the Government and people of Kurdistan to house hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and refugees displaced Syrians , stressing the loving humanitarian spirit of the Kurdistan region, stressing the President of the Kurdistan region, the United States has a deep understanding about the relationships between them and between the province and the joint delegation of the Council of Congressmen to visit the region in order to look closely on the general situation and assess the role of president of the region and the Peshmerga forces in relation to the political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and posed to the region's president many questions about these issues. For his part, President of Kurdistan, welcomed the guest delegation, thanked the Government and people of the United States for their support of the people of Kurdistan and the Peshmerga forces in the war against terrorism, also he gave a brief on the political and security situation in Iraq, highlighting the victories achieved by the Peshmerga forces and the general situation in the region, stressing that the people of Kurdistan needs more weapons to defend himself and his presence because this people live in an area where frequent threats and infested with extremism on an ongoing basis. On the situation in Mosul after the war, "Daash" , stressed the President of Kurdistan that province this city, and by virtue of the presence of many nationalities, religions and sects which have to be to live in a formula all these components where the guarantor of the future and are participants in the self-determination because this is in the province of Nineveh components have experienced once so it had to ensure its future. In the axis of the meeting they discussed relations between the province and Baghdad, and the future of Iraq and the solutions required to address the problems and crises in Iraq.
