India Lowest Price in Iraq Rice Tender

Reuters reports that the lowest offer in Iraq’s tender to buy at least 30,000 tonnes of rice was $431.50 a tonne c&f free out for rice from India.
No purchase was believed to have been made in the tender which closed on 28th June with offers having to remain valid until 2nd July.
Other lowest offers included:
US rice at $589.50 a tonne c&f free out;
Brazilian rice at $603 a tonne c&f free out;
Uruguayan rice at $632 a tonne c&f free out; and,
Argentinian rice at $620.50 a tonne free out.
