Governor of Kirkuk and an UN representative discuss the conditions of displaced people

Representative of the High Commissioner for Refugees of the United Nations praised on Tuesday the efforts of the administration of Kirkuk and its citizens in receiving and sheltering the displaced people who came to the city after exposure to the control of their cities to Daash after the events of the tenth of June of last year.
This came during a meeting between Governor of Kirkuk Nejim al-Din Karim in his official office and director of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Iraq Chrono Kido who took office recently in the presence of the Director of the Office in Kirkuk.
The Governor of Kirkuk said, in a statement by his press office that the meeting discussed the overall situation of displaced people in Iraq and Kirkuk in particular.
He said that they reviewed the security and economic reality in Kirkuk in the absence of getting its financial dues and conditions and challenges facing Kirkuk, that require the submission of supplies to Kirkuk in the presence of more than 115 000 displaced families from the provinces of Salaheddin, Anbar, Diyala, Nineveh and areas south and west of Kirkuk. / End
