Financial representative confirms that the Central Bank weakened the fight against money laundering

Tomorrow/Baghdad: parliamentary Finance Committee, confirmed Tuesday that the Central Bank is weak in the fight against smuggling money to mechanisms outside the country, urging the Central Bank to identify gaps in money laundering Act for the purpose of processing.
Committee Member said Jabbar Abdul Khalik "tomorrow", "the Finance Committee recommended the Central Bank the standardization procedures, through which banks buy foreign currency and securities for the purpose of controlling the prices of dinar against the dollar", stating that "there is a clear weakness in preventing smuggling of funds abroad".
He added that "Hopefully the last few weeks is to amend the money laundering Act and submitted to the Presidium of the House of representatives for the purpose of adoption," pointing out that "the law needs a lot of banking instruments for the purpose of his financial and economic realities".
He called on the Central Bank to "identify gaps in money laundering Act for the purpose of processing by the Finance Committee.
The Cabinet agreed at its regular Tuesday (30 June 2015), a Bill to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
