The Oil Agreement With Baghdad Is Economically Inappropriate

Arbil / NINA/ Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani said the current agreement between Baghdad and Erbil is economically inappropriate, adding that Deputy Prime Minister Ruz Nuri Shaways is carrying new proposals to Baghdad.
The website of the Democratic Party quoted Barzani as saying today that Baghdad is aware that the problems of Kurdistan are very large, expecting a significant a collapse in the region because of the war with Daash and the presence of some two million of displaced people in the region and federal government did not able to pay the salaries of staff about three months ago.
He said that we have to look for a way to get out of this crisis and we hope the federal government in Baghdad understands it.
Barzani did not mention the proposals and demands that Shaways carries to Baghdad, but some sources talked yesterday that the province began, several days ago, to export oil outside the framework of the federal government approvals.
