For his part, the commercial consul at the Iranian embassy Ibrahim Mohammad Reza Zadeh said in an interview with the (long-Presse), "Our goal from visiting the province to identify the place of Iran's exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in the Babylon International Exhibition resort of Babylon rooms, we held meetings with the local government of Babylon in order to increase trade and economic cooperation between Babylon and Iran, as well as cooperation in the field of investment. "
He Zadeh "was chosen Babylon to the exhibition because it is the center of the Middle Euphrates close to the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf, in addition to Astbab where security," noting that "more than 200 specialized Iranian companies of all economic and industrial fields will participate in the exhibition, which will be a great opportunity for citizens and traders to get to know the industry Iran's advanced ".
Zadeh revealed that "the trade exchange between Iraq and Iran volume reached $ 13 billion a year and strive to increase to up to 20 billion dollars," noting that "there are 100 projects in Iraq, the Iranian companies working in various sectors."
It stated that there are economic delegations of Iranian cities to visit the province and meet with local government and the Chamber of Commerce of Babylon and was most recently a delegation of Ilam Province visited the province and met with local government for the development of economic and cultural relations
